At Aboite Animal Hospital we utilize three modes of diagnostic imaging. We utilize full body radiographic (x-ray) exam, digital dental x-ray and abdominal ultrasound studies. Initially in cases of traumatic injury, we rely on radiographic or X-ray imaging. Our computer programmed high frequency radiographic imaging system provides an opportunity for lower radiation exposure to your pet when X-rays are indicated.
In certain medical conditions, following appropriate blood testing and X-rays, we may find it necessary to utilize ultrasound imaging to make an accurate diagnosis. Our digital color ultrasound equipment allows us to evaluate hidden abnormalities within the heart, liver, kidneys, bladder, intestine and spleen. Additionally when necessary, we utilize telemedicine transmission of these ultrasound images to board certified veterinary radiologists for consultation purposes.
